Introduction 1: Anne Frank and her family and another family the Van Daans went into hiding in the bonce of an annex. They were hidden in the pigeon loft for two years until they were betrayed to the Nazis. It both starts off with Annes thirteenth birthday where she realises her diary and names it Kitty. She says that the diary is her moreover friend because she cannot talk to anyone about anything . Even before Anne goes into hiding, the Judaic people had been mistreated and strained into small- pillowricted areas away from the rest of Germany.
